12 Jul 2025

Labris Networks, the 2014 Innovation Champion of Turkey, returned with an award from the International Innovation Champions League, where it represented our country.

In this international organization carried out by IMP³rove – European Innovation Management Academy and A.T. Kearney, and partnered in Turkey by TIM (Turkish Exporters Assembly), 100 candidates were evaluated from over 2,000 applications representing countries across the United States, Europe, and the Asia-Pacific region. Competing in the SME category, Labris Networks won the 2015 Global IMP³rove Final Award alongside representatives from Italy, New Zealand, and Macedonia. Labris Networks received the award during a ceremony held at Turkey Innovation Week, with the participation of President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan.

In the large-scale companies category, another Turkish finalist, Arçelik, also brought pride to the country. Labris Networks, which had previously become the Innovation Results Champion of Turkey in InovaLIG—Turkey’s first innovation development program—earned the right to represent Turkey in the 2015 Global IMP³rove Awards along with Arçelik, İnci Akü, Vestel, and TEB.

Ankara, December 2015 – The “Global IMP³rove Awards,” the international extension of InovaLIG and referred to as the Champions League of Innovation, were presented this year during Turkey Innovation Week. The international final was hosted in Istanbul and welcomed high-level executives from major global institutions as jury members. The panel, consisting of representatives from ISO, OECD, MIT, WIPO, World Economic Forum, A.T. Kearney, USA SBA, and Sabancı University, selected Labris Networks as one of the top five finalists in the SME category and Arçelik in the large-scale enterprise category.

Seçkin Gürler, CEO of Labris Networks, stated after the award ceremony:
“Innovation is the primary driver of growth and competitive advantage in every sector; in cybersecurity, it is about intelligence triumphing over intelligence. Through the IMP³rove program, we had the opportunity to re-evaluate innovation in a systematic way. It’s a process that every global competitor must experience.

At Labris Networks, we generate knowledge and products in the strategically important field of cybersecurity. We are compelled to grow rapidly while doing this. In order to sustain our growth without losing our competitive advantage, we adopt innovation as a core organizational culture. We must not be followers of technology, but its creators. For this reason, we use our innovation capacity to shape the rapidly changing trends in our industry.

For 13 years, we have been investing in knowledge, experience, and production capabilities to become a part of the intellectual economy.”

Since its founding, Labris Networks has adhered to the principle of existing solely through production, without engaging in any buy-sell operations. Thanks to an average annual growth rate of 60%, the company has been listed for four consecutive years in the Deloitte Fast 50 ranking of Turkey’s fastest-growing technology companies.

In 2003, Labris launched “Turkey’s first commercial national firewall,” followed in 2005 by “Turkey’s first domestic UTM product,” in 2010 by “Turkey’s first next-generation firewall,” and in 2012 by “Turkey’s first DDoS Cyber Warfare Tool.” In 2007, the company completed “Turkey’s first Common Criteria EAL international product certification process.”

Through the SOC (Security Operations Center) it established, Labris monitors cyber threats and malware both in Turkey and around the world. The “first cybersecurity report by a Turkish manufacturer” was published in 2015 as a result of work conducted within this SOC. In its CWL (Cyber Warfare Lab), Labris also develops key threat analysis and decision-making components of cyber defense tools.

Labris Networks currently provides Close Protection services through all its units to over 4,000 Labris users across 20 countries.
